1. OVERVIEW
This Returns & Refund Policy applies strictly to consumers (B2C). It outlines the practical steps for returning items and receiving refunds. For your statutory 14-day legal right to cancel, please refer to our separate Cancellation Policy.
2. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN
To ensure a smooth and efficient process, please follow these steps:
- Notification: Contact our customer service via email at contact@art-paint.shop before sending any items back.
- RMA Number: Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and specific shipping instructions.
- Packaging: Items must be returned in their original, unopened, and sealed packaging.
- Labelling: Mark the package clearly with the mention: “Art Paint – Return”.
3. ELIGIBILITY & CONDITION OF GOODS
- Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- Original Packaging: It must be in the original, impeccable packaging.
- Loss in Value: The customer is liable for any loss in value if this is due to handling beyond what is necessary to check the nature, properties, and functionality of the goods.
- Sealed Goods: Paints, mediums, and binders must remain in their original sealed (unopened) state for health and safety reasons.
4. SHIPPING RETURNS

- Return Costs: The direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the customer.
- Exceptions: Shipping costs are borne by the Store only for problems attributable to our processing (e.g., defective goods or delivery errors).
- Non-Refundable: Original shipping costs from the purchase are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of any return labels provided by us will be deducted from your total.
- Recommendation: For expensive items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee receipt of your returned item.
5. REFUND PROCESS
- Inspection: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Timeline: Approved refunds will be issued within a maximum of 14 to 30 days from the date of reception.
- Method: The refund will be made using the same method of payment used for the initial transaction.
- Retention: We may refuse repayment until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence of postage.
6. EXCLUSIONS (NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS)
The following items are strictly non-returnable:
- Gift cards.
- Opened/Unsealed Goods: Paints, chemical mediums, or solvents where the seal was removed after delivery.
- Customized Goods: Items made to your specifications or clearly tailored to personal needs (e.g., custom-mixed colors).
- Perishables: Goods that deteriorate rapidly.
- Mixtures: Goods that were inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.
- Late Returns: Items returned more than 14 days after the withdrawal notification.
7. EXCHANGES, GIFTS & DAMAGES
- Exchanges: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please email contact@art-paint.shop to arrange an exchange.
- Transport Damage: If you find damage upon delivery, we strongly recommend drawing up a damage report in the presence of the courier.
- Gifts: If marked as a gift, you will receive a gift credit. If not marked as a gift, the refund goes to the original purchaser.
8. LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you have not yet received your refund:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company (processing times vary).
- Contact your bank.
